« on: March 16, 2019, 07:17:47 am »

Can anyone give me some clues as to why my UHD files play really nice and have no frame drop however If i Play a standard 1080P file the frame drops consistently drop and it is almost stuttering?

using ROHQ?

scaling with madvr involves 2 steps ... first chroma is upsample to 4:4:4 ... then chroma and luma are upscale to match output resolution

its possible you set second step too aggressive for your hardware ... 4k content skips second step if played on 4k TV, so it is not affected by this

but 1080p need to be upscaled to 4k ... and that might cause your frame to drop if you set upscaling algorith too aggressive for your hardware
