A while back I posted about some WMV music video files that MC24 would not play and a tech support person contacted me privately to investigate the matter, took some file samples and replied that the issue would be corrected in the next update. In any case, I have versions of the same music videos in MP4 format which play fine in MC24 so I'm not worried about it, I simply removed the WMV files from my library.
A relatively minor issue I am noticing with another WMV file is that embedded tags in the file which I've saved using Tag&Rename are not recognized within the library list of videos in MC24 and I have to input the file tags within MC24 in order for any info to appear (otherwise it just says "unknown video" with all category columns blank). But even having tagged all the fields for this video file so the info is there in my library window, there are technical fields that remain empty: bitrate, bit depth, sample rate and duration cannot be read.
This is not a huge pain since I have very few WMV files and don't use MC24 all that much for video playback, I love this program for its music and audio features, functions and performance. But I am wondering if these WMV glitches will be corrected in MC25? I still haven't paid to upgrade but may do so once I know what improvements there will be to my current version 24 which is serving me well in all audio-related aspects.
