CRUD remote?

Do any of the remote solutions offer Change / Read / Update / Delete (CRUD) capability?   I want to be able to use second laptop downstairs while I'm listening to music to put my music into playlists, correct incorrect data, etc. ?      I have been considering using a desktop remote capability and just use my second remote to show the desktop of my server laptop (with an external drive attached).  But I currently have Windows 10 home version and would have to upgrade to the more functioned windows 10 for an extra $99 which I may do if that's the best solution.    Thanks,

The wiki has a topic on Remotes.  They're all a little different.  You could probably use Tremote.

Authentication needs to be set on the server in order to make any changes to it.

Maybe set up the downstairs laptop as a client machine, make the changes and sync to the server upstairs?
