Please explain, should the "New" column in Standard View match the "green star" in Theater View? Because it's not on my system. The green star in Theater View appears to be working 100%, but Standard View check mark is not... see screenshot:

They should match.

I can't make anything out of your screenshot though.

I can confirm there is a difference.  I will look into it.

Thanks, the screenshot is standard view of "to be recorded". Basically, shouldn't ALL the to be recorded series subscribed shows have check marks? Because they ALL have a green star in the Theater View GUIDE.

Another screenshot. First run "new" episodes do NOT have the check mark, but all the following re-airings do have it. Just the opposite showing in Theater View Guide...

"New" means the show is not a rerun.  Without knowing your actual recording rule, I could not conclude that all shows that are to be recorded must be new.

If you only record new shows, then yes, there should be a check mark.

Correct, all my subscriptions are based upon the shows not being a rerun. They work properly, even though not all of them have the "Do not record reruns" box checked in the rule... I do hope you are not saying the rule MUST have the "Do not record reruns" box checked in order for that "new" check mark to show up... Regardless of recording rule or not, the "new" check marks seem to be AFU in standard view.

No.  I was not saying that.

I found out what went wrong.  It will be fixed in the next build.  It was just a mistake on my part.  I got it opposite in Standard view.

I haven't turned this feature on up until now. I just did, and my Guide lit up like a Christmas tree. My EPG is such rubbish! Only a few programs get flagged as reruns, even if they have been replayed on TV for years, so lots of stars for me.

So the Stars are entirely based on the [Rerun] flag then, and don't take into account whether a program has been recorded previously? I know, I know. If it had been recorded previously it should have now been marked as a Rerun, but, poor EPG quality...

... I think I am going to have to change my EPG source to the paid version, if I want to record anything reliably.  :(

Actually we use two different things to determine "rerun" state, depending on the EPG source.  Different sources use different flags.  If we see a flag that says "New", then we set rerun to false.  This is not very useful in reality because we default to New out of caution.  A more reliable piece of data is "Previously shown" date.  We compare that date with the date the show is to be on.  If the date is earlier than the date the program is on, the program is a rerun.  A lot of times, the flags/tags are just not there, we have to assume the show is new.
