Organizing my movies and CD's

I just bought MC last week, I've tried Collectorz, EMDB, Eric's Media etc but not happy with any of those.  I don't want to use the MC player at all, I just want a way of organizing all my movies (8,500) and CDs (11,000) which are all on my external drives.  I feel overwhelmed after opening MC for Windows this morning, will have to take my time learning it (Slow learner)! Wish me luck, I will have plenty of questions!! DN
