Sample rate problem in a remote added Library in MC25 Mac
« on: April 07, 2019, 06:39:30 pm »

I have an iMac and MacBook Pro running JRiver MC 25.
In each one I have different libraries.
In the MacBook is connected my DAC (Cambridge DacMagic Plus) via USB with an AudioQuest Forest USB B to C Cable.  I'm using USB Audio 2.0.
If I play local dsf files and output settings in the DSP Studio the MacBook sends to the DAC the right sample rate stuff.  In my case Maxximum 24-192 with this DAC.
I'm very please with the solution and the final result.  Amplifier Rotel RB-1562, Speakers Monitor Audio Silver 200.  I don't need PreAmp.
But if I add a Library in the MacBook of the original that is located in my iMac the unic sample rate is 44.1 in the DAC, don't matter the real sample rate in the file.
I do it with the Access Key in the DNLA enabled service.

Do I need an extra configuration?
The procedure is the correct one?

Please, help.

Is your DLNA Media Server config set to Original? This should send the file to the DAC in 192 format if that is the original rate.

Also have you confirmed your DAC can process 192/24 via DLNA?

If you are pushing the tracks from one Mac to the other do what Scobie said on the server Mac.
If you are using the library server method of accessing your other library, on the client machine you need to set
Tools->Options->Media Network->Advanced->Client Options->Audio Conversion to Don't Convert Audio

Yes right you are Bob I misunderstand the setup. Doesn’t look like either of those devices are networked beyond the DAC’s Bluetooth. Must be the client/server settings as you say.
