MC25 Problem with Media Network
« on: April 02, 2019, 02:54:35 am »

Good morning,
I updated MC24 to MC25 both on the PC that I set up with the rendering server, and on what I use as a controller and library server, but the renderer doesn't appear in the list of the players available on the controller.

With MC24 in both PCs the network works, but not with MC25; I also tried MC24 as a renderer and MC25 as a server and controller: it doesn't work.

I wait for directions, thanks.

It sounds as if you have set the firewall or av software on your PC to allow incoming HTTP traffic to the MC24 media server application, but you have not (yet) set it to allow such traffic to the MC25 media server application.

Yes, I thought the problem was caused by the firewall:
- I have disabled the Kaspersky firewall (on both or PCs);
- when MC25 was activated I received a message from Windows Defender to which I replied allowing communication on the private network (on both or PCs);
but the problem remains unchanged  :'(

Uninstall Kaspersky, just to test.  Disabling it may not be enough.
