Hi guys need some info on jriver dope.
My streamer is Cambridge cxn.
I can play dsd on the back port, from hdrive or thumb drive.
I do know that the dsd is being processed to pcm 176 kHz.
Now in the display it shows as dsd64, now I decided to try and stream dsd from jriver using
Dope, it seems to play fine, now when I look at The CXN display it shows 176khz instead of dsd,
Why is this? Is dope working has it should?
Question. If The CXN isn’t capable of dop or bitstream dope , would it play or would I get an hiss??
I asked Cambridge about dop and dope, they didn’t seem to understand about dop ect, he kept asking to explain, I gave up.
I asked another question “can I stream dsd to The CXN”. Reply was yes I certainly could.
Now. Should I stream dsd with dope? Or just send it as is? Both play, is there any benefit using bitstream dope . Not sure if dope stream with damage my hifi
