MC crashing ?
« on: May 07, 2019, 12:39:19 am »

Am I seeing things or is MC less stable at the moment

3 times yesterday it crashed and I had to restart the server

I did a dreaded Windows Upgrade on Sunday

My system is Win 10, i7, 16 gb ram, ssd for library hdd for files . Nothing fancy

It has been so stable of late, I’ll keep monitoring

Version?  What are you doing when it crashes?  A crash related to video was fixed and is on this board.

Hi Jim

Sorry 25.0.33, 64 Bit

The PC is a general PC with lots of stuff on it and always has been . eg SQL Server running in background

When crashes occurred doing nothing on PC (no active programs except MC server and Roon, MC GUI shut down as well) which is remote from listening area. Just listening Music not video. After restart I watched video for 2 hrs with no issues.

The PC has Roon running as well which was running but not in use. This has been like this for since this PC was built about 2 year ago.

One thing did coincide when it crashed for the second time I had a "Windows Update Waiting" I did the update . I often find when Windows is waiting to update strange things happen.

As a result the PC was rebooted

I'l update to 25.0.34 and see what gives

Mike

I've seen similar problems with pending Windows updates.
