Customized view for a file folder
« on: May 07, 2019, 02:40:31 pm »

I want to temporarily create a shortcut to my iTunes music files (I'm editing the tags and it is a pain to manually get there as it is 5 or 6 sub directories down from root).

I tried setting up a "Disk Location" library view in Audio.....but can't seem to find the right rules to get to the folder.   I tried "filename (path) is "....full directory path) and that gave me an empty directory.

What am I doing wrong?

The simplest solution to try which should work with all Views if you add this Rule into any "Set rules for file display" would be;

"Filename (path)" "starts with" "Full path to iTunes directory containing files and sub-directories"

I use that for my Recorded TV View in Theatre View and it works fine.

If you can't get it to work, explain more about the Views you are using, such as Album, Artist, etc., and perhaps a screenshot of the View definition.
