JRiver Media Center logo stolen?
« on: June 08, 2019, 02:06:23 am »

Hi guys,

I came across that program by accident.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zinqs.mediacenter
Are they affiliated with you? Or did they steal and modify your logo??

Kind regards,
Ruediger

No.  They are not affiliated.  Yes, they stole our logo.  I filed a complaint with Google and they said they wouldn't do anything.  Maybe other people complaining would help.

Did you use the Copyright Infringement complaint form? They usually take that rather seriously.

Looks like they are based in US ... https://zinqs.com/contact-us

Maybe contacting them might be one solution ... surely easier to deal with US company rather than offshore ones

And they did a rather poor job ripping off the logo, simply superimposing a hummingbird image in the middle without removing the white play button part of the logo (which you can still see parts of).

Or perhaps they're just not very committed to honesty and integrity.
