Hi guys, Been a while but i have an issue with the latest MC 25

When i try to edit a tag it will automatically select all text in the tag field after every keypress.

I only have a linux version so i can't test on windows. this wasn't an issue in mc24 and i'm pretty sure its not in early 25 builds.

I see I can make this happen in ubuntu but not debian (where I'm using xfce).

It would be useful if you think you had a build in which it used to work and you could tell us what that is.

I just went back and tested all the builds. It happened at some point between 25.0.37 and 25.0.44.

Yep, looks like this change made its way to the tag edit window:

1. Changed: When adding a library field, the name will be fully selected so typing anything will replace it (instead of requiring manual delete).

I think i was able to do it in xfce as well but i just blew that box away.

It looks like Bryan caught the change but i can probably get all the old versions from my package cache if you want to do more testing?
