Analyze audio tags gone
« on: June 24, 2019, 05:57:01 am »

Not sure what I did … but analyze audio tags for audio files are gone (so are album covers that I set for all albums)

tags for analyze audio in videos are still there

does this have to do with fact that audio files (so are video files) are sitting on read only share? … maybe MC tried to write tags to files and when failed, discarded them when I shut down MC? … any special setting I need to do for read only file locations?

Thanks in advance for your help

Try restoring a backup.  MC makes them automatically.

The files shouldn't be read only.

With MC's tools,  you can move metadata between MC's database library and the file library in either direction.  Be very careful.

Restoring worked ... thanx ... only reason I can think of causing this was power failure while MC was analyzing audio in video files

Reason i keep share read only is to prevent rest of my family doing funny stuff to it … when I need to move metadata between MC DB to file, I set share on admin … then back to read only (I am very paranoid lol)
