tagging

All of my ape files are tagged correctly using Monkey Audio.

They show up correctly in MC9.  If I change the genre in MC9, the files lose their tags in Monkey Audio.  They are still there in MC9, but are completely blank if I right-click and hit MAC info.

Is this a bug?

another observation:

If I check "update tags when file info changes" then if I change the genre the tag gets lost on the file.

If I uncheck "update tags when file info changes" then I don't lose the tag, but the genre does not change on the file, even though it does in MC9.

I have not tried changing any info other than genre.

I think the issue is with ape tag 1.0 vs. ape tag 2.0.

Can anyone explain the difference between the two?  Does Monkey Audio console not recognize ape tags 2.0???

The 'Update tag' unchecked is not updating the file because what that does is just update the Media center database without actually updating the file's tag.

This is why it's showing as tagged in MC but not when you check it.

As for the rest I'm not sure sorry :)
