Buffering with High Res files [Solved]
« on: July 12, 2019, 04:30:08 pm »

Just noticed a bug after I undated to JR 25.0.76 for Windows 10 64 bit. The updated program will not play high resolution files (e.g. 24/96) which I play decoded from memory.
Would appreciate a fix.  In the meanwhile, can I "downgrade" to the previous version, which worked flawlessly with such files, while a fix is developed?
Thanks,
Rich

I should have mentioned in my above post, that JR displays "buffering" constantly when I try to play high res files.

I don't think we've made any changes in that area.  Can you try without the play from memory?

No issues here with 24/96 nor 24/192 files. Might want to explain your setup a little more, if you don't mind.

Thanks Jim H and Awesome Donkey for your replies.  All is well today after a new boot-up.  I tried restarting JR yesterday after first noticing the problem, but no joy.  I guess restarting the computer today set things right.  I should have tried this yesterday before posting.
But I'm going to go with sunspots as the root cause of the problem to save face.  ;)
