OK, I may be an idiot here, but MC9 keeps everything in it like .wav files, .jpg, etc, and I really only wanted to use it for my music (.mp3) and CD ripping.... could I/should I delete all the extra fluff from the MC9 library?

If you really only want to use MC9 for MP3s, then of course--go for it.  (Why wouldn't you?)  Just remove the non-MP3s, or start fresh and import only MP3s.  This is easy to do on the "Import Media Files" dialog.

I do something similar--I use MC9 only for APE and MP3 files, not for anything else.

To delete them all just do this as a search and then delete all the results

Also, make sure you choose the correct settings when importing so you dont get all the extra files

Select The Ones You Do Not Want In The Listing And hit The Delete Key.

This Will Remove Them From The Library And Will Not Delete Them From The Hard Drive.

When You Use The Import Fuction Next Time. Click On Advanced, And Only Select "MP3" this way you will only import MP3's next time and you will not have this problem.

Umm, well, I guess I misunderstood.  I didn't realize he was asking HOW to remove non-MP3 files from the MC9 library...  just whether or not he "could or should"!

You could make a folder just for mp3's and import only that for the 'Import Media'. Just point MC at that one and it will only import these files. No need to worry about the extra stuff then.
