Locate (album etc.) to parent/top scheme
« on: August 25, 2019, 04:58:00 am »

I see now this behavior has changed. Again.
Once upon a time I could move to the parent scheme. Recently - only to the top. Now - only to the same scheme? This breaks all my workshop schemes.
Is there any hope that the new behavior is optional?

Thank you for support

Based on what you wrote, I can't figure out what you are asking.  Maybe you could post a screen shot or two or three that illustrates what you would like to do?

I think morrison is complaining about this change...

13. Fixed: Doing a locate command on a set of files in a library view will locate in the same view instead of switching to the last loaded view (which could be different in split view configurations).

Which was introduced in build 25.0.6, in January this year.
I'm not sure there's any advice to offer here. Feels like one of those areas where the team will never be able to keep all of the people happy?

Yes, Marko is right, probably this "fix". For a while I did not follow the changes. Now for me it is of course a regression.

Example:
Previously, after seeing duplicate tracks in the album at the lower level:
https://cloud.domainagain.ru/index.php/s/ZCra2XZ3F4bF8ds
I could do "locate to album" and get to the top level with different view:
https://cloud.domainagain.ru/index.php/s/KEx6XRF6jHoFPgj
where to compare bit rate, statistics, etc. and remove unnecessary.

Thank you very much for your answer. Sorry for my English what is hard to understand (.
Thank you for your attention.

Everyone cannot be made happy, but this feature(fix) could be an option. I purchase a master license just to support the company and future development, do not ask for new features and do not use most of them. But in the end, the existing functionality, basic, disappears.
And it seems to me if the error has existed for many years (I described this behavior in the bugreport for MC13) - this is a feature)
