Audio Stops Playing with S.M.S.L. SU-8 DAC
« on: August 30, 2019, 08:24:11 am »

Hello, I am a new user, and has the latest windows version installed on a not very powerful laptop running the latest windows 10 Home version.   Using a S.M.S.L. SU-8 DAC, when playing DSD files of DSD128 and 256, it will play without any hiccups but only for a period of time, may be 20-30 minutes, then JRiver would just stop making any sound.    When that happens, it seemed the only way to get it working again is to close the program and reboot the laptop.    Anyone experienced something similar, and know the fix?

Connected via USB?

If so, are you allowing Windows to power down the internal USB hub it is connected to?

Device Manager > USB Hub > Properties > Power Management tab.
