Author Topic: Film ratings from Tiny Media Manager not displaying on MC25 from the nfo file  (Read 1369 times)

I have been struggling a bit trying to get JRiver to play nice with my nfos. All my films have a rating out of 10 pulled from imdb and stored as <rating>x.x</rating>
What I would like to have is this rating visible in theater mode, however all combinations of view settings I have tried have not worked. It seems that the ‘rating’ field has been reserved for the x out of 5 rating from within JRiver and cannot be read from the nfo unless it is out of 5. This mean as standard, all of my films rated 0.0 to 5.9 show up as 0 to 5 stars. And if they are rated 6.0 or more, it doesn’t show up at all.
The other thing I was going to try was point the ‘critic rating’ field at the ‘rating’ field in the nfo, but I couldn’t seem to see if there are any settings for custom fields within JRiver.
Have I glossed over something simple? Or is it just not possible? What nfo format would fit?
Thanks in advance.

I made the following changes:

2. Fixed: NFO "rating" tag was not properly imported.
3. NEW: MC will import "Rating" field from the new style "ratings" tag in NFO files.

These will be in an upcoming new build.

The rating value (out of 10) is converted to JRiver's rating out of 5.  So a value of 7.6 will become 4 (out of 5).

Many thanks for that, do you know when this new build will happen please?

Usually it will take a few days.  I can't estimate more precisely.

Yaobing, was the rating ever added to JR that you mentioned would be?

  • It's not easy being me, but it sure is fun!

Yaobing, any chance you can get <set> imported from an .NFO file as well to fill in the Series field, or at least the ability to make it a custom field?

Code: [Select]
    <set>
        <name>Die Hard Collection</name>
        <overview/>
    </set>
