Using drivers v398.36 and v397.64 respectively. The GT710 uses MC "balanced" madvr profile, the GTX1060 uses my own custom madvr profile.

Thanks for that info @tzr916.
It is always interesting how a lot of these annoying Windows 10 issues only affect a proportion of the user base, perhaps this one only affects the Southern Hemisphere (@fedpul is in Argentina, I'm in Tasmania) ;D
EDIT: I'll try reapplying the KB4512941 update using Nvidia driver V397.64 as that has worked for @tzr916 and report back.

This doesn't appear to be a JRiver problem.

Agreed, Jim.
It also seems to be a minority problem, no-one has reported it on the Doom9 madvr forum thread either.
RoderickGI:
Ah yes. I just read about all the problems KB4512941 is causing a select group of people. There seem to be more and more reports of different issues with it though, but still, not everyone is affected.
terrym@tassie:
OK, so I tried the KB4512941 update with Nvidia driver V397.64 that worked for @tzr916.
No dice, same problem, black screen and no playback.
Uninstalled update, all fine again.....
I've attached logs for playback pre and post KB4512941, maybe someone cleverer than me can shed some light on what the issue may be.
I guess the current state of play is YMMV with this particular update.
