JRemote - Single Album under Artist
« on: October 06, 2019, 01:36:38 am »

When an artist has only one album associated, JRemote displays the artist's artwork. the artist's name, the album title and the series of tracks under the album's artist, instead of simply the album artwork and the album title as both MC and Panel do.

Why hasn't this been fixed?

It's not a bug, it's a feature.

When Theater View or JRemote have a view that only has one result, it automatically drills down.

I can understand wishing the behavior were optional, but I wouldn't want it totally removed. It allows you to clever things with grouping in views that wouldn't work well if you had to explicitly drill through every defined level.

It's extremely helpful in many situations, and I wish Standard View had an option to behave this way as well.

I'm all for having as many options as possible, but I use JRemote as just that, a remote, and for consistency I want JRemote views to mirror MC and Panel views as closely as possible.  What's options are applied from there should be left to the user.

It does in fact mirror what you would see in an indentically constructed Theater View view.

Standard View is the odd one out, as it does not offer this behavior.

I would think Standard View would be... Oh, never mind.
