Hi: I'm running MC 25.0.108 on two different Macs and have tried streaming from each to a HomePod. On MBAir 2018 running Catalina, MC 25.0.108 doesn't even give home pod streaming as an option. On Mac Mini 2014 running Sierra, MC 25.0.108 will stream up to 44.1 sample rate of music, but above 44.1 is not playable. Other players such as iTunes, Apple Music and Pure Vinyl will stream as high as sample rate 192 on Mini running Sierra, and Apple Music on MBAir, but Pure Vinyl not yet compatible with Catalina.

Music stored on external hard drive
music up to 44.1 sample rate
Will stream to HomePod:
From iTunes, Pure Vinyl and Media Center 25.0.108, formats FLAC,
AIFF, M4A,
sources vinyl rip (from Pure Vinyl), cd, electronic download
Above Sampe rate 44.1
Will stream to Homepod from iTunes and Pure Vinyl at 48, 96 and 192.
From Media Center, at 48 is slowed down but recognizable, at 96 is really slow and not identifiable except with real effort, at 192 glacial-not identifiable at all.
On MacBook Air, 2018 1.6 GHz dual core intel i5, 8GB 2133 LPDDR3
running Catalina
Will stream to homepod from Music app
Can’t even find the homepod in the Media Center 25.0.108 Player, playback options.
