Unless I'm missing something, the "Locate file" function (right click menu) does not filter properly if you try to locate the file on a view scheme that has a "Grouping Level" applied to it.
Let's put an example.
Now I'm playing this track:
Listening to: 'The Galtee Hunt' from 'Dulaman' by 'Clannad' on Media Center 9.0
Right clicking the file on "now playing" windows and selecting "locate" shows all the view schemes where you can find this particular track. Clicking on "Audio--Artist/Album" will open the view scheme and show the track "The Galtee Hunt" in the context of the album "Dulaman" of the Artist "Clannad". However, if you have set your view scheme so that the "Artist" Component has a grouping level (so that it shows A-C, D-F, etc.), then performing the action "Locate" detailed before will lead you to a list of ALL the tracks in the library with the track "The Galtee Hunt" highlighted but not filtered to show you only the ones belonging to the album "Dulaman". This is a problem if you have set the view to "details" but is a real mess if you have set it to "thumbnails grouped if logical".
This "locate" feature is something that I used thoroughly with MJ8 when listening to a track and wanting to know what else do I have from the same artist... or for editing quickly the properties of the whole album.
Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks in advance.
