Things that need to be sorted out

Why does every update restore background pictures to the default vangogh pictures (thats really annoying).
Why can't I change to titles in TV Shows from "season"..american format to the British format of "series "
And when are we going to be able to create Movie Box Sets

Go to your MC directory C:\Program Files (x86)\J River\Media Center 25\Skins\Theater View find the whichever theme that you use.  I use Obsidian, so I will use it for this example.  Copy the entire theme, rename it something like "Obsidian - Mine".  Make any changes that you want.  When a new version comes out, copy your modified version to the same directory for the new version and select it within the Theater View options.

You'll probably want to change the modified skin's name inside main.xml too, or else you'll have two Obsidian skins (as per your example) listed in the menu selection.

This is a Theme issue guys, not a skin issue. Although it could be fixed by modifying the skin I guess, that is more work.

Jaygiles69 has obviously replaced the images in the Default Theme and kept using that Theme, then any update rightly overwrites those images.

Jaygiles69, create a custom Theme and use that, then the images won't be changed. See the Wiki.

Ah, yes you are correct. I made a change to the Obsidian skin (I added a clock) that kept getting overwritten when I updated which is why I was thinking my solution worked.

The file you want to copy and rename is located here (assuming you go with the default install location)

C:\Program Files (x86)\J River\Media Center 25\Skins\Theater View\Themes

It's called "Default"
