Crashes playing DLNA
« on: November 07, 2019, 04:27:50 pm »

I'm trying to play DLNA through my receiver.
Most times it crashes 1-2 times a day.
MC25 has crashed already 6 times today.
Most within the last 30 minutes.
I keep playing it and it quits after a few minutes and I have to open it again and again, only to have it crash again.
Paying $59.95 for something that crashes that many times doesn't seem normal.
MJ14 was free and it almost never happened, but it didn't have DLNA.
Is DLNA the problem or MC25?
It seems to happen a lot more when using DLNA.
What is most users crash numbers for a day?

Is it a crash (program disappears) or a freeze (won't respond)?

If you're on Win10, make sure you have configured Windows Defender.  There is a thread here.

Drivers can also cause crashes.

You could read about Logging on the wiki and try reading the end of the Previous log after a crash.

Same problem here, never had so many JRiver Server crashes, now with MC25 a few happen daily esp. when DLNA.

We're not seeing general problems with crashes, so something about your setup is probably causing it.

Did you read about logging?

Antivirus software and bad drivers are the leading cause or such problems.
