Great day dear Yaobing,

Since a couple of days I'm seeing some critical errors within the TV log.

I've tried to attach you the logfile, too large, so please find the log in your mailbox.

Thanks for your help,

When did the critical error occur?

The log you sent only covers a 3 hour period from 5:46 this morning, and I do not see any critical error events in it.

Still no luck.

The "Previous Log" file covered from 2:26 to 5:46 this morning.  If the error occurred before 2:26 am, then the event was lost.  It seems that you use the "Auto reset log" setting.  In this case MC would reset whenever the file size is over your chosen limit (which was 5 MB in your case).

The 5 MB limit was reached in a 3 hour 20 minutes period.  Adding the 3+ hours of logging in "Log.txt", you get about 6 hours of events.  Anything prior to 2:26 AM was lost.  You can try setting the limit higher, and checking for errors more frequently.

Hi Yaobing,

OK, I've mailed you 1 minute ago the TV log.
Which includes some error messages on this.

I've disabled the size limit of the logging file.
I'll send you another, larger, log this evening when interesting enough to look at.

Thanks.

Thanks.  TelevisionLog.txt was helpful.  When you see it happen again, please still forward a regular log, which might contain more info.

I have not been able to spend enough time on it to say anything definite.  I will work on it on Monday.

Thanks for the reply as per my mail Yaobing,

I've been following the log during the last couple of days and can't find the error anyfurther.
I've request feedback from Digital Devices, if I'll receive news I'll let you know Yaobing,

Thanks Yaobing,

Guessing something was found at the end.

But not sure if .15 was released earlier - like the date is mentioning.
As i only found out there's this update some minutes ago.
Installed and I'm testing the TV tuners status' and log as we speak.

Quote
26.0.15 (12/18/2019)

4. Changed: Changed how critical errors from TV tuners are handled so we will not mess up reference counting of the tuners.
5. Changed: We reset a TV tuner from error state to normal state in 3 minutes, instead of 30 minutes, so the tuner can be used again sooner if it is usable.

.15 was released to public today.

The changes that were made deal with how critical errors are handled.  It does not answer the question why sometimes critical errors occur.

Many thanks for the explanation Yaobing,

Understood, I'm monitoring the logfile and in case I'll see something i let you know.
As besides the error written into the log i never had noticeable issues.

The odd thing is .15 was released yesterday, but mentions (12/18/2019) besides the version.

The odd thing is .15 was released yesterday, but mentions (12/18/2019) besides the version.

It was built on that date, but we kept it in internal/beta testing for a few weeks.
