Connecting and controlling LMS
« on: November 21, 2019, 02:09:45 pm »

Hey there... hello after some time! I updated to mc26 from 23 a few days ago..
I want to use JRiver 26 (25 for now) for:
1) streaming music from my LMS server to my computer in my local network
2) control my LMS playback to my Squeezlite players
Can I do 1, 2 or both?

In mc23 I could connect to my LMS libray (as secondary one) and play music from it but now in 25 I didn't manage to achieve it!

Thnx in advance!!

I found an old forum thread about this (from the JRiver wiki).  It didn't seem to be reliable even back in 2015.

There might be a way to do this, but I don't have much confidence.  If you find a reliable way, please post so other people will know too.

Good luck.

Brian.

You could try Whitebear Media Server..

http://www.whitebear.ch/mediaserver

But please note that I have not done any work on this since 2012, so it might work, or it might not.
