If you're using ASIO, you may have a 32 bit driver.  If so, the 32 bit version of MC might be required.  But try Direct Sound or WASAPI first.

I have the 64-bit version (which I believe I had with MC23 as well).  I had been (and still have it selected) WASAPI.  I noticed the under playing now I have a grey arrow for Player (which "sees" my audio-video files; they "play" but with no sound).  I also have Playing from Main Library whose path is not leading to the audio-video files.  It looks like I may have to re-import the files in order to play them.  Any reason why MC 26 did not re-establish the Libraries?

JimH:
Try restoring a backup from MC23.

Would that be possible since I have uninstalled MC23?

JimH:
You could read about backup on the wiki.

Search for *.zip files from Explorer to see what you have.
