virus warning
« on: December 15, 2019, 10:50:10 am »

Opened JRiver 26 this morning and logged in to cloudplay. Used Tryme and it began playing a song by XTC after notifying me some songs were filtered based on cloudplay settings. While the
song was playing I looked at cloudplay setting and changed the max bitrate to no limit.
Within 10 seconds the sound just froze and AVG popped up message MediaCenter 26 exe was infected with IDP.ALEXA.51.
I went ahead and quarantined the program. I scanned my system for any other viruses and came up clean.
Then I tried to duplicate with MC25 doing exacly what I did with MC26. I never received a notice from MC25 that cloudplay filtered any songs due to my cloudplay settings like I got from MC26.
I was not able to create same response from AVG in MC25.
I did send off file to AVG for analysis.

It's a false positive in this case, some AVs tend to get overzealous when brand new apps are released.
