Will not transfer/HELP!!
wisker3600:
Hello,
Not sure where this goes. Took me a half an hour to get here. I had to get a new hard drive. I did get all my files in the right place. When I try to transfer files from JRiver to my Pono, Sony NW A45 or Astell & Kern I get this message. No rights or wrong file type. For some reason they are ripping into "ape" files. Most of my files are flac or mp3 or at least something I recognize. I am ripping CD's into the JRiver program. Before the hard drive change the music would automatically go from iTunes to JRiver and that will not work either. Really not sure what "wrong file type" means. I read in the help that ape id an accepted file type?? OH yes I am using 22 for Windows. Please Help!! To be exact the message is "insufficient rights or unsupported file type".
JimH:
You can change the default encoder in MC Settings. Settings has a search window. FLAC would be a good choice.
You can convert APE files to FLAC. Select a few and right click.
