Awesome Donkey:
MC's Options (Tools > Options) > File Encoding > Audio: File Conversion is where you can set conversion settings.

Hi Awesome,
I want to thank you for stepping up. I am still not following the path. I went to Tools>options>encoding?? Can't find file encoding>can't find "AudioFile Conversion"?
I tried just encoding but it did not work. Sorry I am so slow.
Bob
I thought I had it changed to Flac. I deleted the CD I ripped and ripped it again. It was ripping in cda and not ape. I thought I had it fixed. Nope!! As soo as the CD stopped riping the changed from cda to ape and I still had the same problems. "insufficient rights or unsupported file type" I am sure the problem is FILE TYPE!!

RoderickGI:
All these issues are caused because you don't have the settings from your previous installation.

Did you happen to recover a MC22 Library Backup from your old drive? Because if you did you could just Restore that, with settings, and MC would work the way it used to for you.

Hello,
All the work was done by the "Geek Squad". Is there a restore function on jriver??
Thanks for trying to help:)

RoderickGI:
Read the Wiki article I linked to, or have the Geek Squad read it. Otherwise they will have to do all the work again!
