« on: December 22, 2019, 07:23:28 am »

Hi every one, i recently bought a Marantz NA-8005 and purchased the JRIVER25 for windows.
I like to reproduce DSD files which they are in my computer(HP ENVY).
Can anyone help me to configurate JRiver with the Marantz to do that??.I'm new in this and I don't know how to do it correctly :'( :'( :'(
Thanks.

DSD-over-DLNA (DoPE) is likely your only option, assuming the Marantz supports it.

That receiver is reported to do DSD streaming. From what I read it only streams up to 192 KHz PCM, so it will only do 2.8MHz (1x) DSD.  1x DSD requires 176 Khz for DoPe and 2x DSD requires 352 KHz.  So, try what AD suggested.

The other option is to write DSD files to a disk drive and plug that into the receiver. That is not very elegant but it is another option if you cannot DLNA to work. That approach supports both 2.8 and 5.6 MHz files.

You could connect the Marantz to MC via an HDMI cable. ??

Unfortunately DSD won't work over HDMI from a PC.

That device can operate as a USB DAC and will support Stereo DSD up to 5.6 Mhz.

Very nice stereo USB DAC!

You will need the right cable (standard rectangular USB on the PC side and the squarish looking connector commonly used for USB DAC and Printers on the other side).  From there I suggest you read the manual.  I checked it out online and it has the instructions for you.

You may need an ASIO driver which I would expect Marantz to provide.  After installing the driver, you can configure MC to select the DAC as an [ASIO] output device under Tools->Options->Audio.  Once that is done, you can have MC playback to it.  From there you have a lot of power/control over what to feed it based on media type by setting up rules.

Yes, the front usb supports drives but the back one supports a PC connection.  I missed the back one. And, yes, there is a driver download on the Marantz site.
