Cloudplay: user account creation not working
« on: January 03, 2020, 01:56:29 pm »

Dear,
I tried to create a user account for cloudplay but it says my email address had already been taken (it is used for my forum account as well). Resetting the password for the account seems to work but then I get:
"You have to confirm your account before continuing." Logging in again gives the same error message.
Please help.

Search your spam folder for mail from jriver.com.

Thanks but that is not the case. Please check again. I suspect it has to do with the fact that jriver, forum and cloudplay all ask for my e-mail address to be used as account name. I saw there was another person on the forum having the same issue in which case something had to be corrected in his account.

I just had the same problem, paypal set up the subscription and did the first billing, but when it tried to redirect me back to jriver I received an error message from jriver server.

You guys are going to have to check and set me up manually at this point.

I was just using my same email address that I use for everything with you all, my forum email.

Your Paypal account is separate from any JRiver account.  Forum, license, and Cloudplay are also separate from each other.

I understand, but I never received an email from jriver with the account creation issue, so I am stuck with a subscription through paypal and no account with jriver.

How do i get the account creation completed now?

Thanks, Andy

Try a search for mail from jriver in your spam folder and in your trash.

I did, and just checked again.
I don't believe it completed.
If you can get someone in customer support to email me, I'd appreciate it.

@akessel56:  Are you looking in your '@pm.me' email account?  If you'd prefer using the email you registered on the forum with, I could change that on Cloudplay for you.

@B.J.Deelman:  Please try signing up for Cloudplay again, it should work.
