M-dac plus dsd filters
« on: January 08, 2020, 06:57:56 am »

Could anyone explain what these filters do?
There is dsd standard 50k 60k 70k

Iam assuming standard is 45 cutoff.
What’s the point of using above 45?

I thought it introduced more sonic noise.

Hans beekha....on utube say he uses 70k, but also states that some amps wouldn’t like it.

Why would they offer these filters.

The basic idea is to filter out noise created in turning DSD into analog. How you filter out the noise creates difference sounds, although some people hear a big difference and others hear little or no difference.
