How to Customize Keyboard Commands
« on: January 08, 2020, 12:31:25 pm »

I regularly use Ctrl+4 to bring up Theater View. I want to change this command to say Ctrl+Alt+4 to bring up Theater View. How do I do this?

The reason I want to do this is that there are several keyboard commands that are unavailable to my Harmony Hub that controls it.

You need to edit a file and understand MC's way of using this file.  It's not super hard, but it requires a good bit of explanation.

Here's the Wiki entry with brief instructions to get you started:

https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/User_Defined_Global_Keyboard_Shortcuts

If you need direction, you might do a few searches for "Resource.xml" and/or "keyboard customization" in this forum.  Or just ask your question and see if someone can help.

Good luck.

Brian.
