« on: January 12, 2020, 01:35:32 pm »

I am trying to play movies with Dolby Vision in mp4 format and I get an error saying "Something went wrong with the playback"
Can you please advise?
Many thanks

I honestly wouldn't hold my breath on Dolby Vision being supported.

Thank you for the clarification
What is the plan for HDR10+ please? At least for the passthrough

Thank you

If DV or HDR10+ will ever be supported ... it will be through MadVR ... I think currently, if you specify HDR passthrough in MadVR it will passthrough HDR10+ too ... I cannot test this as I don’t have HDR10+ TV

PS. tone mapping of HDR with MadVR is likely way better than your TV anyway ... if you have Harry Potter deathly hallows 2 ... look at the scene of Harry in train station with dumbedore ... if whole scene gives you lots of greenish highlights ... then your TV tone mapping is worst than MadVR as scene has dominantly reddish highlight
