MC 26 didn't import MC 25 library
« on: January 19, 2020, 09:53:15 am »

So far, only problem I had was that the install of MC 26 didn't pickup the previous version library. Had to go back to MC 25, backup library, and restore to MC 26.

Will give it a work over today.

For Mac and linux that's the way it's currently done. Windows picks it up automatically because MC uses the registry.

Good to know. Might this should be a sticky?

It really needs to just upgrade elegantly... it's a hassle to expect people to handle the upgrade properly themselves and from my experience it never 'just works'.  There is no technical reason it cannot just find and use the previous version library.

Yes, a smart upgrade would be nice, however, following the suggestions made here, I upgraded in less than 2 minutes. I had personalized library and backup locations in MC25 and that made it a bit faster to find and use.
