Can’t stop transcoding to .wav
« on: January 20, 2020, 07:20:16 pm »

Since upgrading to MC26 and setting up media streaming/DLNA, all music now is displaying as .wav and 24 bit on my network DAC. This wasn’t happening before. My library is a mix of all formats and bit depths. I prefer JRiver to send all music in it’s native format. Why is this happening and how do I stop it? I have set file conversion to ORIGINAL on the media newtork settings and Audio settings in Options, but no change.

Hi Dberk
As MC is such a comprehensive application it can be a little confusing where to find specific settings.
The options for DLNA streaming can be found in Tools>Options>Media Network>...Add or configure DLNA servers
In there you will find a list of DLNA servers, below which are the settings for the each server.
If you select the server you are using and set Audio Mode: Original there you should get what you want.

Thank you. I had done that but didn’t seem to take until I shut everything down and restated (including the streamer). No all is well!  Thanks again.
