Master License for MC26 appears not to function

I have a MC 26 Master License and have been running the program on my pc. Thankfully, they have eliminated the bug that in MC25 made the program crash when auto import was on.  But now that the Mac version is out, I downloaded it hoping that same problem would no longer occur on my Mac. But it tells me I have a 30 day trial before I have to pay.  Does my Master License not work for the Mac?

A Master License works with MC26 for Mac, but you may need the latest build of MC.

I'm using MC 26.0.19. I don't know it that's the latest build.  When I try to check for updates, it replies with the cryptic: "There was a
problem checking for updates". Not helpful.

That is the latest build.
Just enter your MC26 master license code under Help->Install License.
