Best Bug Finder
« on: April 30, 2003, 09:50:05 am »

We're trying to decide who did the best job of reporting problems they found.  Just for a little history our past awards have gone to:

Versions 1-6 -- too long ago to remember
Version 7 -- ZRocker
Version 8 -- Doof

For this version, RemyJ started off strong, pulled out into a clear lead, but he may have been overtaken at the finish by Doof.

Who should it be?  We'll fly a six pack of Grain Belt beer anywhere in the world to honor this tireless over-achiever.

What do you think?   Don't nominate yourself or your buddy.  Just because someone's nice, that doesn't make them a good Bug Finder, but if they aren't nice, it does disqualify them.

KingSparta's cat is out.  In fact, no pets at all this time.

Will there be an award for the guy that made the most bugs.

If so, just drop the beer two doors down in my office.

I think Remy has been the most consistent bug finder and he has always presented his bugs in a clear way showing date found and version.  He gets my vote...

The bookies in Vegas had Rem as a odd's on favorite, but clearly Doof put on a strong run to the end. I would call it a photo finish...buy a case of Rhinelander and split it amongst the two MVBF's.

Why not call it a tie and ship 2 sixes? Both are deserving, IMO  :)

Personally, I nominate Remy. Not counting strict numbers or anything, he quite easily was the most consistent at reporting bugs.

Besides... I don't drink. :P

Well, daring to step out on the ledge again, I would think that the person who reported the BUGS that were understandable by the programmers should get the rewards,  Communications is were it is at. I like beer, but cannot write worth a $#%$^%.  so I vote for those that can communicate the best to get the reward.  I am just happy to have a great Piece of software, and to have had fun getting it done.    Keep up the Great work.
