SSA/ASS support?

hi friends,

just wanted to follow-up on adding support for proper SSA/ASS subtitle support. i had inquired about this back on MC25 and was told this was planned for 26. still in the pipeline? any thoughts on a timeline? i would love to be able to catalog and watch my anime through JRiver, though i am having to resort to MPC or VLC due to this limitation.

Do I understand correctly that proper SSA/ASS subtitle support should fix strangest things as on attachment?

What you posted looks complicated ... involving multiple text AND text positioning on screen AND text background AND text rotation

Hendricks is working on it ... as his time is also divided on JRemote for Android ... it might take some time ... but be sure I will be testing every aspect of SSA/ASS spec :)
