PAL video and Display Settings question
« on: February 08, 2020, 10:30:23 pm »

I have some PAL video that is 25fps.

If I set Display Settings to "Custom", and PAL to 25Hz, the display is always 23.976

If I change the FILM (23.976) setting to 25 Hz, it works fine.

The video as confirmed by MediaInfo is indeed PAL and 25FPS.

It seems MC is not detecting that it's PAL video but treating it as FILM.

Is there something I can do to force for specific videos to playback in 25FPS?

...and no sooner did I post this and then went into "TAG" for said video, changed 23.976 to 25 and voila!  MadR now changes the display  mode to 25 Hz.

It seems that when creating particles from a bluray backup for this particular TV Series (likely other PAL video), the particle is set to 23.976 (I guess perhaps that is the main title?)

Setting the particle to 25 via TAG and it works perfectly.

If you have VideoClock enabled, madVR has the option to re-clock them to 24Hz to play back at the original speed.
This only applies to movies though, not natively PAL content.
