Volume control - help!
« on: April 30, 2003, 01:27:15 am »

Hi!
I'm going crazy trying to figure out the volume control. It seems that whatever zone I choose the volume control and mute only affects the default sound card and the default channels on it (normally that would be front channels). Is it really impossible to do anything about this?
As for NetRemote I can map volume to preamp volume in DSP, but this is not possible via IR remote and Girder, as far as I know. Or is there some hidden function? It would work just as well, I just need some way to adjust volume on the different zones! Please! Pretty please with sugar on it! I beg you! Remember that Mastiffs are very proud dogs, and we do not easily beg for anything!  :D

I already barked once and Matt wrote that they have an eye on that, but that's not an easy thing to implement - lots of code change. So he said they won't make it for 9.0, but promised for right after!

OK, thanks. Then I at least know. I'll have to use NetRemote exclusively for volume control, then.  :(
