Dear Forum,
I have 2 laptops. One is "Lenovo Y510P" and the other is "Asus ZenBook Pro Duo UX581 GV". And I have a "Lindemann" High-End Audio Network Media Player. So much for the technique.
Both run one instance of JRiver 26. Lenovon is flawless. The format of the file being played is displayed on the media player. That's what I see on Lindemann's display. Specifically, if the played file is DSD 64bit then I see this appear on Lindeman. Once its set to "Nativ", so the outgoing file format will be DSD 64bit.
Not on the Asus laptop. With the same settings for JRiver (I hope I didn't make a mistake about it), exactly the same file that appears as DSD 64bit, PCM 48bit on Lindemann. The output file format is also PCM 48bit for "Native" setup.
Something's wrong here. I've been doing this all day today but I'm not doing well! I compared the JRiver settings almost point by point but the situation did not change. Could something wrong with your Asus laptop ?
Please help! Thanks in advance: pimpolo
