Trouble restoring SlideShow license
« on: April 23, 2003, 06:44:56 pm »

I am setting up a new computer, and need to restore my MC9 and slideshow license.  I used the recover page, and was able to install the MC license without incident.

The slideshow license simply refuses to install.  It didn't show a URL on the restore screen like MC9 did, rather it shows the text key.   Importing the text key failed with Error 21.

I also used a number of my available restores in this attempt - can anyone suggest a resolution?

Hi SeanC,

Make sure you use IE. I tried your license and it worked for me.

It seems you need to have Slideshow installed before installing the Slideshow license.

In retrospect, this makes sense, but it would be nice if the error message said "You don't appear to have the product installed yet.  Please install Slideshow then attempt to register.", rather than "error 21"

I'm up and running.
