We've been doing watch parties for old pre-code movies every week since the Shelter In Place. We have to all get our media queued up and we countdown via voice chat and hit play at the same time. We're NEVER all synchronized.
Is there a way in Media Center for me to host a viewing party for me and 5 friends? I would control sharing and playing of the movie with MC, and my friends would have to just connect to my stream somehow.
I think PLEX does something like this, and has recently made this free for the duration of SIP. I just downloaded it to see if I can get it to work, but I'd rather have an all MC solution. The thing PLEX seems to have going for it is that it has apps that run on so many platforms, and some of my less tech savvy friends would benefit from the ability to just download an app to their Smart TV or ROKU or AppleTV.
Anyway, just wondering if MC can already do this or if you've considered making it so.
