Design suggestion for new play button in Standard View
« on: June 18, 2020, 02:02:42 am »

I always use Standard view, never Theater view. One reason for that - for my use STD view is way more practical since I only fire up MC in the home theater, it is not used e.g. as a smart TV UI. Anyway, in standard view, when playing an album or a movie, the text "Play" appears below the album/movie thumb image on mouse-over. This looks a bit dated.

What always pops into my mind is - it would look so much better if a play icon could appear on the thumb itself on mouse-over, instead of just the text.
The UX would benefit from it as well, as I usually would have no need to move the pointer down to the small text below the thumb. On a 4K image on an 100'' screen, the "Play" text is tiny, and very hard to read (I really do not like the Windows scale function, so not an option to get larger text...). A play icon of a certain size would be much easier to see. And yes, I know I can double click.

Just a thought.
