play one track only when DLNA renderer playback ...
« on: June 23, 2020, 02:38:04 am »

I am using JRiver 26 and an Oppo BDP105D as DLNA renderer. Since a couple of updates if I select a full album or a bunch of track very often )nearly alway i would say= playback stops after one or a few track. Is the any special setting on the server side to tackle this?

thanks much

Perhaps for that zone turn off the DLNA controller SextNext support (right-click on the zone).

it does not work again. It worked in the past so I am confused: I tried to disable some and all of the broken renderer options ...
Anybody in the forum had problems with this vintage Oppo player?

I have one as well. They can get confused internally and need to be power cycled (not just the on/off switch).

I tried but no joy
I am actually using a Sony BDP 3700 as DLNA renderer feeding the oppo via coax S/PDIF.
What I cannot understand is WHY it starded misbehaving since 3 weeks ... the Oppo is never update since many years so I think it is something with JRiver ...

I tried all of some of the renderer oprion other than the one you suggested again and again in differente combos ...

thanks anyway

So the Sony is actually what is controlling that, not the Oppo.
Check the Repeat button (just to the right of the time slider) and make sure it's not set to Stop after Each Item when the Sony zone is selected.
Otherwise, if you haven't already, turn off that SetNext option for the SONY zone.
Other than that I can only guess there was a firmware update on the Sony since nothing has changed in MC in that area in the last 30 days.

The sony plays OK w/o any broken render options. Probably the DLNA stack of Oppo FW is bugged and they do not update it any longer (too bad since the Oppo is a really great unit ...)

Can I verify with your that you are playing to the Sony zone, not the Oppo zone when you have the difficulty?

Probably the DLNA stack of Oppo FW is bugged ..

IMHO your statement is not true; my Oppo 203 plays just fine with MC.

But (as others have observed) your statements imply you are pushing to the Sony rather than the Oppo, so further discussion is moot.
