You can purchase a JRiver Media Center 27 upgrade license at a discount.  All licenses sold are for MC27 and will also work with MC26.0.98  or higher.

JRiver Media Center 27 is now available on the Download Page.  MC27 will continue to improve throughout the year.  Minor upgrades are free.

Upgrade Prices

You can use a license from any previous version of JRiver Media Center, even Media Jukebox 8.0, to upgrade.

The discounted price to upgrade for Windows, Mac or Linux is $26.98.  A Master License upgrade for all three OS's is $39.98.

INSTRUCTIONS
To direct you, we need to check a few things.

1.  Have you ever purchased MC?
If not, there is no upgrade price.  Sorry.  Here's how to download and purchase a license.

2.  Do you have your Registration Code for your older version?
If not, you can email it to yourself Here.

Now you're ready to purchase, but we need to know what OS you have and what license you want.

3.  Are you planning to use more than one OS?
If so, you will need a Master License, which works with Windows, Mac, and Linux.  You can purchase from the Help menu of a current version or you can go here:

Master License Upgrade (direct link)    $39.98

5.  Or do you only need Windows or only Mac or only Linux?
Then you can get the new license here:

Requires 27.0.79 or higher from the top of this board.

Mac Upgrade (direct link)    $26.98

Linux Upgrade (direct link)    $26.98

Problems
Requires 27.0.79 from the top of this board.
Is your license not accepted when you upgrade?
Make sure you're on the right upgrade page.
Use copy and paste.  0 (zero) and O (letter) look alike.  So do 1 (number one) and l or I (letters).

Don't have your license?  Visit the Restore Page  and use option #2 to email yourself your license(s).

Hopefully a quick question...

Having done a portable install of MC 26 onto a removable USB drive, Windows 10 now appears to want to open the .mjr file with a program that resides out on drive H:, which corresponds to that portable installation.

Do I need to get my desktop installation (in the usual spot, C:) using the new .mjr file?

I should clarify that double-clicking on the .mjr file doesn't seem to be working, as it brings up a dialog box.  That's where I saw the H: drive reference.

Would it be appropriate to navigate to the "C:\Program Files\J River\Media Center 26" directory and pick some .exe there to open the file?

RoderickGI:
Fix your file associations in Windows 10, so that the mjr file is opened by the MC installation on the C:\ drive. If you need more information search for posts by me about "File Associations".

Once MC26 has the new licence installed correctly, run the MC26 installation program again and select a Custom > Portable installation, and install on your portable device again. That will add the new licence to your portable device. It won't change anything in the Portable installation, other than the licence.

Default file association for .mjr as per the attached screenshot.

Double-clicking the new .mjr file results in MC opening, and it still reports as registered (phew), but there's no real indication of whether the license changed.  I guess I'll find out once MC 27 is available...

EDIT: I drew the arrow in the wrong spot in the screenshot!  Look one row down.
