Gapless (Between Tracks) Truncates Song A Bit
« on: April 21, 2003, 03:53:39 am »

Hi,

I noticed this in MC 9 1.47 and onward (may have been earlier too): When I use 'Gapless' as the setting for 'Between Tracks', and start playing an individual track, it sounds like the track starts about 0.75-1.0s into itself. Naturally, this is not noticeable on tracks with 1-2s silence at the beginning, but with tracks which start 'hard' it is. Also, if playing such a track, I crank the track-position cursor back to the home position, it starts again with a slight truncation too. All test tracks work fine (no truncation) in WzMP9. Hope there is an easy solution!

Thanks again.

Do you have "Silence suppression" on in Playback options?

Do you have a file that it's very noticable on that you could send me for testing? (matt @ jriver.com)  I haven't been able to reproduce it.

Thanks!
